W2 Red Seaweed Sunscreen Review | Paraben free | SPF 30 & PA+++

Hey smarties..!! How are your summers going on.? ๐Ÿ˜€ Sun has already started showing its aggressiveness in some places in India by now. And its time to look for a better sunscreen before tan hits us.

I wanted to try something new this time, not the typical ones which are there for decades in the market with loads of parabens in it. Parabens may come in the form of butylparaben, ethylparaben, isobutylparaben, methylparaben, or propylparaben which helps to store those beauty products for years. These if used for long term, causes serious damage to the skin and may even develop skin allergies and cancer.

So i searched for the best paraben sunscreen to use his summer and found this. Let’s see if it ย really helps you in these hot summers or not.

Price : 250 INR for 50 grams.

My take on the product:

W2 Red Seaweed Sunscreen Review

A normal tube kinda packaging, gives you a required amount on a single press. Is spill-proof and avoids wastage. But I felt, the tube is a little big for just 50 grams. The upper part in the tube is just air. This tube can actually take up-to 100 grams. If the tube is a little small,it would be cute and more travel friendly. ๐Ÿ˜€

The aroma of this w2 seaweed sunscreen is just so pleasant that you cant wait to smell it over and over again. It is neither overpowering nor an irritating ย chemical kinda smell like few sunscreens have. I cannot exactly describe the fragrance but it is somewhat like a mixed smell of sandalwood powder and Multani Mitti (Fullers Earth). Some sort of herbal smell i can say.

Color & Texture:

It has a thick creamy texture. I have just spread it over my hand with just 2 stokes, and that is how it looks. The color is not completely white but has a lighter shade of half-white. I dont know why it shows white in color in this picture, may be because of light (sunlight)?

The first time I applied this sunscreen after washing my face, I experienced a little instant brightening effect on my face. It spread out so evenly and gave a matte finish which was perfect for applying any foundation thereafter. ย I can say it is far better that my moisturizer or primer in this case. I was really surprised by how easily my skin has absorbed the sunscreen and dried quickly. No greasiness or whitish cast on my face. I am really skeptical about picking any sunscreen for my face, as I think that sunscreens make my skin more oily and shiny all over the day. *gross* I guess all the oily skin beauties like me are afraid of same. But this one, It even controlled the oil secretion on my face for a good 4-5 hours.

It may be a little drying for dry skin girls..but you can always use a moisturizer over it. One thing I observed was, you may also need to reapply the sunscreen you are gonna be more that 3 hours in the sun. One application and expecting it to work for the whole day long with this sunscreen wont help, especially if you are spending more time under sun.

    1. I guess it’s currently unavailable in amazon, nykaa and other places too. ๐Ÿ™ Do check it out in these places after a couple of days.

    2. In my face pimples pop out everyday and leave a scars on my face so it will work on that scars also and will it help to prevent acne

      1. Hey Ankita,
        I believe it doesn’t work on eliminating any kinda acne or scars, as it is just a sunscreen. But i suggest, skip trying this if you are already suffering with acne.
