One of the most common scalp condition faced by many over the world is dandruff. Over time it becomes even more difficult to cure dandruff if left untreated at the early stage.
Dandruff is caused by a fungus, Malassezia, which feeds on sebum (the oily secretions from our scalp) and the dead skin cells which occur naturally due to formation of new skin.
While the phenomenon is natural, the problem occurs when the fungus starts eating too much into the scalp. Although there are many commercial shampoos and chemical treatments to cure dandruff in the market, many have turned out to be complete waste of money and time. Isn’t it?
So what’t next? Why not try some ancient methods to treat these scalp problems at the comfort of our homes. A simple and a basic scalp pack made with the most potent Indian herbs Tulsi and Neem, is all what you need to keep you mane healthy and lustrous. Still not convinced?
Why scalp packs are amazing?
Scalp packs are something different from the normal hair packs that you can use for conditioning your hair. These scalp packs normally contain special ingredients that are intended to treat scalp related problems more.
Created with the right ingredients, these hair packs on regular use kills the growth of bad bacteria that have been breeding grounds on your scalp since ages.
Tulsi-Neem Scalp pack to Cure Dandruff | Even Scalp Itchiness & Dryness
This simple scalp pack requires just 3 ingredients. two of them you already know, they are Tulsi and Neem powder. The third, is home made curd.
To prepare this mask, take 2 tablespoons of Tulsi powder and 3 tablespoons of Neem powder into a bowl. To this add 5 tablespoons of home made curd into it.
Mix all the ingredients well to form a runny paste. Add few drops of water into the mask, if you feel the mask is little hard to apply on your hair.
Your scalp pack is now ready. Don’t hurry. To apply this pack with ease, there is one simple step that is required to be done.
The Right way to apply ‘Powdered’ Hair Packs
As this is a powdered Hair pack (OK scalp pack), it feels not that fancy to be applied on to your scalp. The pack feels so grainy and rough to be applied on to your scalp.
To ease out the application, you can wet your hair from your roots to palm length hair using a spray bottle. Comb your hair with a wide tooth comb and part your hair into small sections.
Now you can apply the pack to your scalp and comb your scalp evenly to distribute the pack well to the roots of your hair.
Tie your hair up into a bun and wait for 30 minutes before washing if off with a mild shampoo.
Condition your hair as usual.
Alternative: If you do not like to use powders or if you don’t have them right now, you can use the raw ingredients too. In fact that’s more potent and works quickly too. In that case, do not use them in the form of paste. Instead, extract the juice out of the Tulsi and Neem Leaves and then mix them up with curd to apply it on your scalp.
You can use this scalp pack once a week to not just to cure dandruff but also to keep your scalp healthy and avoid from any bad bacteria attacks.
