Ingredients:

1. Almond Milk

2. Pure saffron Strands.

3. Small Bowl

Recipe:

Let me tell you that this recipe needs your time. I mean not the whole of it but waiting time. You can carry on with your other stuffs in the meantime though.

We will be using Pure Home Made Almond Milk for this recipe. So, this is a pre-requisite. I do not recommend those tetra-packed ones that are readily available in stores. Those are just mild solids mixed with flavors.

Preparing you own Almond Milk at your home is very simple. You will find a dozen of recipes on internet. Choose the one which you like and prepare it accordingly.

I like my Almond Milk to be simple.

I Soak a cup of Almonds in water for overnight. I then drain the water and put the almonds into a blender and add 3 cups water into it and blend it for 1 min until the almonds are well mashed and the milk is creamy and thick. You can add more water you if want your almond milk to be more light. Its your personal preference.

Store this Milk in the refrigerator (not freezer) and use it within 4-5 days.

You can use this milk in all the recipe like smoothies and shakes.. just like how you use normal milk.

Now coming to our Recipe of Saffron Milk…

1. Take Two teaspoons of Almond milk into a small bowl and add 1 strand of saffron in it. Actually Half of it is also more if your saffron is really pure. I bought mine from a local shop in Kashmir when I last visited it for a trip.

2. Now let the Saffron strand soak in the milk for about 3 hours. You will see that the color of the Milk has changed to Yellow-Orange mixed shade.

3. You can either apply this Milk to your face using just your fingers or else dip a thin face cloth into it and wrap it on to face for 10 minutes.

4. Wash your face with cold water and do not use any soap or face was while doing so.

You can apply this saffron milk not more then twice a week. Ensure that your are not using excess strands to soak it in the milk. Its just wasting your expensive spice.
