Finally here is a review on my blog after a really long time. It’s almost been a year since I have reviewed any other product after my last review of NEW Indulgeo Luxuriant Hair Vitalizer REVIEW | “Ingredients & Benefits”
Why you ask? It because I try to keep my skin and hair care routines as minimal as possible and I just can buy any random product just to review here on the blog. I do a thorough analysis and research before investing any product and in the mean process if I find the product is not worth my time, I don’t buy it even though how hard it is hyped in the market.
While buying any product I look for a lot of things like ingredients, packaging, environment friendliness, sustainability and last but not the least – Price. 😀
One such product that caught my eye recently was this Rustic Art wild Rose Face wash concentrate. Their concept of promoting these concentrated pastes be it either in skin care, laundry or dish washing is very unique and true to nature.
Some of the key points of promoting these concentrated series of products as mentioned on their website are.
Rustic Art Concentrate is a futuristic step towards sustainable personal care.
Water Efficient: The formula contains very less water in its composition. Thus, the water is not shipped from one location to another and you pay only for the formulation and not for the water.
Less is More: Less water means more product and higher concentration of Organic Oils and Organic essential oils.
Longer lasting product means, lesser containers are used on average.
Contains no sulphates, phosphates, parabens, synthetic colours and fragrance.
Compact packaging, non-leaking, travel friendly.
All the ingredients used to hand blend the products are certified organic.
It been almost been a month and a half since I started using Rustic art wild rose face wash concentrate and here goes my review for you all.
Rustic Art Wild Rose face wash concentrate Review
Let’s start with the packaging
The Rustic Art Wild Rose face wash concentrate comes in a plastic tub packaging. Though the size of the tub may seems handy and travel friendly, it is not. Its true that it doesn’t occupy much space in your handbag, but yeah.. after you reach to your destination don’t be surprised to see little product on inside of the cap.
I know its not a big deal for some, but it is for me. If you are a frequent traveler and using the face wash always from the inside of the cap then it becomes dirty with time because of some dust particles getting trapped near the sides of the cap and its not funny. Isn’t it?
Don’t worry, because the brand also have this face wash (not concentrate) in a pump out bottle packaging for a more mess free usage. So for all those who hate this tub packaging can opt for their pump out bottle of this face wash with few more rupees.
Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Pongamia glabra (Karanja) Seed Oil, Oryza sativa (Rice bran) Oil, Ricinus communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Linum ustatissimum (Flax) Seed Oil, Sesamum indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Prunus amygdalus (Almond) Dulcis Oil, Mangifera indica (Mango) Butter, Rosa damascena (Rose) Flower Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Veg. Glycerine, Purified Aqua
Precise. Perfect and clear. That’s how ingredients must be and so are they here. Even though I hate tub packaging in gels and face washes, the only reason I bought these (Will be reviewing Aloe Vera Sandal saffron gel from Rustic Art soon) are because of the their ingredient list.
What the product says ??
Wild rose face wash is organic, natural and vegan mild soap paste suitable for dry to normal skin. Rose prevents drying of skin while cleaning it with a great floral fragrance for an excellent face wash experience. The new facewash concentrate lasts up to three times longer than the liquid of same quantity. Contains no sulphates, phosphates, parabens, synthetic colours and fragrance.
Well, that’s quite a thing. Let’s see how it lives up to its claims.
Quantity & Price??
A 50 grams of this face wash concentrate is priced for Rs.200.
Their Pump out bottle of the same variant face wash comes with 100 ml of this face wash and is priced at INR 230.
Rustic Art Wild Rose face wash concentrate Review – My Opinion
I really loved their idea of promoting this unique concept of using concentrated paste which not only decreases the use of water while creating the product but also is more sustainable and long lasting.
My first impressions of using this product are quite good. In fact very good. Just a pea sized amount and few drops of water to activate this face wash concentrate and boom..you face is squeaky clean and feels so fresh.
Its not like any other sulfate loaded face wash. As this is made with fats of natural oils, it takes time to lather up. Don’t get intimated and end up using the product more.
Rustic Art Wild Rose face wash concentrate smells more like earthy and is very subtle. No rose-y fragrance.
One of the main drawback I observed in the past one month or so of using this product is that, I sometimes end up using it more when in hurry. This can finish my product too quickly and also dry up my skin. Because, this is inf act a concentrated form and using a concentrated form of soap barely on skin can still dry out your skin even though its natural, organic and sulfate free.
How to use Rustic Art Wild Rose face wash concentrate
To make the experience of using this face wash less messy and more efficient, you can mix this Rustic Art Wild Rose face wash concentrate and water and store it in a re-usable bottle.
To make your own face wash using this concentrate, fill 30% of your bottle with this concentrate and the rest with clean potable water. Stir well with a spatula, until both the face wash concentrate and water are mixed well.
You can now use this liquid soap to wash your face like any other face wash. You little by little and see how much of this liquid is really required to wash your entire face and next. Decrease or increase the quantity accordingly.
I am OK for…
1. Mild and safe face wash for daily use.
2. Best for normal to oily skin.
3. Long lasting and cost effective.
4. Sustainable and Eco-friendly
5. No over powering odors.
I am NOK for..
1. Plastic tub packaging. The alternative pump out bottle is also plastic. Yes can be reused, but not for life time unlike glass jars.
2. May end up using more product sometimes and that leads to drying of skin and wasting of the product too.
Will I re-buy this? Well, you may need to wait until i finish this and then decide. For updates on my empties, follow my stories on Instagram.
