Natural toner for Oily skin using Cucumber Water

Natural Toner for Oily Skin

This is my favorite toner in summers. After a hot summer day, your skin is tired and so dull. To give an instant freshness and coolness I generally keep 30 ml of cucumber juice in a spray bottle in a refrigerate. It gives an instant coolness every time I spray it one my face after I return from a sunny day.

The flesh of the cucumber is mostly water, but also contains ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and caffeic acid, both of which help soothe skin irritations and reduce swelling–these acids prevent water retention, which may explain why cucumbers applied topically are often helpful for swollen eyes, burns and dermatitis.

How to make Cucumber Toner

  1. Chop and blend few pieces of cucumber in a blender and extract the juice out it. You may need not add extra water while blending.
  2. When using this toner, take a cotton pad and put few drops of this mixture on to it. Swipe all your face in upward direction after you cleanse your face thoroughly.
  3. Follow one or twice daily.
