Why only Multani mitti ?
Multani mitti is able to remove excess oil, dirt, sebum, sweat and impurities from the skin, which means that it is helpful in cleaning pores from the inside, which further aids in preventing acne and pimples.
For those with super oily skin, the clay is able to absorb excess oil and draw out blackheads. Being rich in magnesium chloride, it has cooling properties that help sooth sunburn, insect bites, rashes and skin inflammations
The tightening caused because of the hardening of clay also lifts skin, preventing fine lines
Best way to use Multani Mitti to fade dark spots
According to me, there is no better cure for most skin related issues than Multani Mitti.
Multani Mitti has been used to get rid of skin issues and achieve radiant, blemish-free skin since ages in India. It is one of those age-old tips that has been handed over generations. Multani mitti is a great agent to clean, exfoliate and nourish your skin.
To get most out of Multani Mitti, you got to use it like this with these ingredients.
Apple cider vinegar
Preparation and Application:
To make this face mask, First mix equal portions of apple cider vinegar and fresh water in a small cup. Now, take a small piece of multani mitti block into another cup and add the apple cider vinegar solution into it slowly. Let the block of multani mitti loosen its shape. Mix it with a small spoon until a smotth runny paste is formed. If the paste is still hard, you can add a little more apple cider vinegar solution and mix it well.
Apply this face mask evenly on to your well cleansed face. Wait not more than 15 minutes and wash your face with normal cold water. Do not wait until the mask is super dry and you are unable to even open you mouth.
Multani mitti is applied to the skin in the form of a damp paste, which is when the skin absorbs all the nutrients from it while it soaks up all the grease. At the beginning of the drying phase, the paste tightens and stimulates blood flow as the mask cools and contracts. This is the ideal phase to take the mask off, when it is tacky to the touch. Once it gets too dry and hard, it starts to pull out moisture from the skin surface, leaving it dehydrated and itchy. So do not over dry the mask on your face.
You can use this mask not more than twice a week to fade dark spots. Do not use for more than the recommended because it can make you skin more oily (for oily skin) or dry and dehydrated (for normal skin)
