How to Get Dark Hair Naturally?
I am using two simple hair loving herbs that are easily available during these lockdown days. I hope everyone will have access to these ingredients and would love to try this hair oil at home to get dark hair naturally.
Aloe Vera oil has some of the best antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties that stimulates the blood circulation of the scalp and thus promotes healthy long hair.
Premature grey hair is one of the growing problem in today’s lifestyle. As Aloe Vera is rich in folic acid and vitamin A and C, it provides enough strength to the hair follicles that contain the pigment cells.
Tip: Aloe vera can also be used for grey hair. For this keep fresh juice of amla in an iron bowl overnight and mix fresh aloe vera gel to this stored amla juice and apply it to your grey hair. To get visible difference in hair color you need to do this for at least 3 months.
Curry leaves darken the hair and restores the natural melanin pigment of hair so that the hair becomes dark again. Curry leaves also helps in prevention and treatment of premature graying of hair since this is enriched with vitamin like B complex and minerals like iodine, Selenium, Zinc, iron etc.
In India, we use curry leaves in almost all of our food recipes. But how many of you eat them instead of throwing them aside in your plate?
Curry leaves are said not only to reverse grey hair permanently but also to promote healthy and strong hair. It increases hair growth and reduces hair thinning and hair loss.
Tip: All you have to do is to have 4-5 fresh curry leaves daily in the morning, 30 minutes before having breakfast. Chew them for a good 2 minutes instead of just swallowing. This will release the juice and get into your body to work faster.
Apart from consuming, you can also include curry leaves in your hair care routine.
When the leaves are combined with coconut oil, it serves as a potent hair tonic.
How to Prepare Aloe Vera and Curry Leaves Hair oil to get dark hair naturally.!
I have prepared this hair oil to last for 6 months, so if you are planning to use or try it and see the difference in your hair’s health or color, use it for minimum of 4-6 months.
To prepare this hair oil, you need around 5-6 Aloe Vera leaves, 500ml of Organic Cold pressed Coconut oil, 12-15 strands of fresh curry leaves.
First, wash the Aloe Vera leaves under running water to wash off any dust or dirt on it. Now, peel the sides and extract the gel out from the leaves. Put this extracted gel into a blending jar and blend it smooth.
Put this Aloe Vera juice and also the washed and cleaned strands of curry leaves into an iron kadai and add 500ml of Organic Cold pressed coconut oil into it.
Put the saucepan onto the stove. Switch ON the flame and put it to as low as possible. Do not cover the pan with any lid.
Let the oil simmer for some time. After around 30-40 minutes, you will see that the oil has turned to light dark brown color and the Aloe Vera juice and curry leaves are cooked completely (do not burn them, but just cook until the goodness of aloe vera and curry leaves is infused to coconut oil).
Some snaps form my Instagram Stories…
Let the oil cool down completely, after which transfer the oil to a glass jar by sieving the oil through a thin mesh cloth or a strainer.
How to use: You can store this oil for up to 6 months. Use this oil the night before you wash your hair and wash your hair with a mild shampoo the next morning and condition as usual.
